Our favourite time of year has come to a momentous end with the crowning of Games Room of the Year 2023. After celebrating all rooms grand and compact, minimalistic and crammed full of memorabilia, we can now reveal our winner. Judges at Home Leisure Direct narrowed down the entries to 10 finalists, leaving it up to the public to cast their reigning votes.

From humble beginnings with a few framed football shirts, the Games Room has transformed into an ever-evolving sports and games haven. For Aaron, it's not just a room; it's a constantly changing thrill zone!
It's where friends and family gather to enjoy football, pool, darts, and drinks, hosting epic stag parties, birthdays, and serving as a Pompey supporter's go-to spot for away games. Imagine a vibrant communal space where fans unite, watching matches on a massive projector screen – It's a place where the fun never sleeps!

Creation Date: The Games Room was started in 2018, with the official opening taking place on February 1, 2019, making it a labor of love for the past 5 years.

We asked Aaron how he felt to be the Games Room of the Year winner:
Get in there! Thank you. That's amazing. I didn't even think I'd be Top Ten so to win... I'm not usually speechless, yeah I don't know what to say, that's amazing, I can't believe it.... I'm chuffed, I'm really chuffed. I've never done it for any accolade, it's always been just a labour of love. Something to take your mind off the times and something we've all been able to enjoy with friends and family. So for all the people who haven't been here, or maybe don't know me, to then take to the internet to vote - that means a lot!

The whole top ten was truly spectacular. From garage conversions to basements and garden rooms, we really saw it all. Each room had a distinct character and personality - they truly are the best games rooms in the UK. We give each of them a huge round of applause!
