Being into all things fun, several members of the Home Leisure Direct team have always been up for a fun round of five-a-side. So do you think we were excited to hear that the largest five-a-side football league in the country were up for working with us to install tables into their venues? you bet we were!
The league in question is of course Lucozade Powerleague. The organisation operates 50 locations all around the country from the boroughs of London all the way up into Scotland, and provides fans of five-a-side and local communities a place to get together and play, and then enjoy a well deserved drink afterwards! Powerleague were looking for an extra something to give their visitors, and pool tables seemed to fit the bill perfectly!
With all the details worked out, and with the vans loaded up with cues, chalk, slates and most importantly numerous Supreme Winner pool tables, Operation Power League was go.
The installation proved to be a tricky one in some places, with a long trek both up north and into the country's capital, with one installation requiring everything to be carried up a large (and cornered) flight of stairs. Despite this, our delivery team rose to the challenge and eventually, all the tables were installed and ready for action in no time across all venues.
The tables were soon put to work following their installation, and have been a great way for players to continue the competition off the pitch, as well as for those not competing to kick back and enjoy a couple of frames whilst enjoying a drink, or the action on the pitches outside.
The new Winner tables look right at home in their new settings, and they have already proven to be a hit with visitors keen to show off their skills! If you want to give any of these tables a try, you will be able to find them at the following four locations, and hopefully many more in the near future:
Power League Manchester Central
Power League Stockport
Power League Croydon
Power League Mill Hill
