Our Buyer's Guide videos will help you to work through the choices involved in getting your dream pinball machine into your house. At Home Leisure Direct we are well-versed in all aspects of pinball and will help with every facet of your decision.

The first decision to make is whether you would like to buy a brand new pinball machine or a second-hand vintage machine. There are two mainstream pinball manufacturers still creating new machines: Stern Pinball and Jersey Jack Pinball. They are both producing some stunning pinballs, which look wonderful and play very well. Having two producers in the market has created healthy competition, which is great for the consumer.

However, the gameplay of some of the older vintage pinball machines may lead you to choose a second-hand purchase, as many of the best pinballs were made in the golden era of the 90s.

If you decide to go for a second-hand machine there are some great manufacturers who are sadly no longer trading in the pinball market. Several of these names you may well have heard of - Williams, Bally, Midway, Capcom, Sega, Data East and Gottlieb are all great producers of pinball machines.

We keep a constant stock of new and used pinballs in our showroom. We try to have all of the best used pinballs in stock at all times, but are of course subject to the whims of supply and demand. For example, we often have The Addams Family as it was the most popular pinball made since the 50s - over 20,000 machines were built. It’s a great game, has a number of wonderful features that engage younger players and those that haven’t experienced pinball before. However, because these machines are no longer available new, we cannot guarantee what will be in stock at any one time. Your best bet is therefore to either call or email our friendly sales team, or come to our showroom in person.

There is currently a huge resurgence of interest in pinball; more and more people are discovering the fun to be had, with more shows and competitions taking place around the world each year.
