Rock-Ola CD Jukeboxes
Rock-Ola began manufacturing their iconic jukeboxes in the late 1930s. The company had to overcome many obstacles and compete with big companies such as Wurlitzer, AMI and Seeburg, but managed to make a name for themselves over the next few decades and cornered the market in the 1960s.
The founder of the company, David Rockola, worked in a slot machine repair shop when he first moved to Chicago and became a specialist in coin-operated products.
In 1926 he set up his own company, first manufacturing coin-operated scales, moving onto producing pinball machines in 1930 and finally developing his own jukebox record selection mechanism, which kickstarted a new direction for the company. Rockola began manufacturing his famous jukeboxes in 1935.
Classic Rock-Ola Jukeboxes
In 1939 Rock-Ola released their very popular series Luxury Light-Up jukeboxes, but the company had been set back $500,000 in legal fees due to Wurlitzer’s attempt to sue the company for patent infringement and due to the out-break of World War II, jukebox manufacture was slowed as the company was utilised to help with the war effort.
In the 1940s Rock-Ola enjoyed rising popularity through releasing well designed ranges of jukeboxes with some innovative ideas. Among these were dials instead of push buttons, remote controls and even making fully functioning wall-mounted jukeboxes. Rock-Ola made a range of jukeboxes which have stood the test of time as some of the most beautiful music-players in the world.

Rock-Ola were one of the main manufacturers of jukeboxes throughout the 1950s and 60s before the demand for these pieces of musical history diminished.
Now, jukeboxes are making a comeback, with many people seeking out these beautiful Rock-Ola models, both new and vintage. Rock-Ola’s variety of style, and constant improvement and innovation in design have created a very sought after range of models. Their new models are made with the same care and craftsmanship as their classic jukeboxes, with all the benefits of modern technology.

Delivery & Installation is free to any location within 150 miles of our Bristol showroom, within mainland UK.
However for locations further than 150 miles there may be an additional charge depending upon your exact location. Please call our friendly customer service team on 0800 622 6464 for a quote.
Delivery and Installation will be made to the ground floor room of your choice, provided we can park our delivery van near to your property, have easy access and no steps or steep slopes to negotiate.
Finance Available:
A jukebox is a fairly sizable acquisition, not only in its physical size, but from a financial perspective too. To help with this we are able to offer finance, subject to acceptance, on many of our jukeboxes.
Your application can be either processed online, using our paperless process. It takes around 5 to 10 minutes, with instant decisions. Upon acceptance just process your deposit and we will be in touch to complete your order, and prepare the arrangements for delivery. If you prefer you can also make your application in our showroom.

Stressful city centre driving and expensive places to park are not part of the Home Leisure Direct experience. Instead we have three converted stone built barns, one of which was an old milking parlour, in the idyllic countryside where you will be greeted by a member of our friendly, knowledgeable team with free parking right outside the door.
