Let’s set the scene: You’ve ordered a pool table from us with installation, and you’re about to take delivery of it for your home. This is very exciting for anyone, but what should you expect when your pool table is finally ready to be delivered? Just how is a pool table delivered? What preparations should you consider? This guide will offer a very simple look at what you should expect when the time comes for your table to be delivered.
This is a very basic guide, and of course every pool table is unique, so the construction won’t be exactly the same for every pool table, but by the end you will have a fairly good idea as to what to expect leading up to your delivery day, as well as on the day itself.
Step 1: Book A Delivery Slot
After a pool table has been made and it’s in our hands, you will receive a phone call from our warehouse to advise, and will be given a choice of dates for when we’ll be in your area next. We’ll also agree a general time of day. We always try our best to be with you exactly when we say we’ll be, but of course external factors (such as traffic and weather conditions etc) always play a role, so we would recommend if possible being available for the whole day.
Step 2: Prepare your space
When you have agreed a date with our delivery team, it’s time to prepare the space your pool table will go into. The best way to go about preparing it to keep the area as clear and as open as possible to allow quick and easy assembly of your pool table once it arrives. It’s a good idea to mark the intended location of your pool table with masking tape on the floor if you have the time.
The other key thing to set up is creating a clear route for our delivery teams to get the table from our vans into your intended location. Pool table parts are normally quite condensable, and will go through most doorways, but ensure a clear route from van-to-room has been cleared.
Step 3: Delivery Day
On your actual delivery and installation day, our delivery team will arrive with you in one of our delivery vans with your pool table. Our delivery and installation team will then carry the components of the pool table into the space where it is to be set up. Your pool table will often come in a simple cardboard box containing main body of the table, the table’s legs, and any appropriate fixings required for it to go together. Separate from this will be the slate, which will either be wheeled into your property using a special trolley, or if required simply carried in.
The table is then built in your room of choice, levelled and the packaging materials removed. On average, a standard 6-7 foot pool table will take approximately 30-40 minutes to install from start to finish.
Any Other Questions?
This guide is a super quick idea as to what you can expect on an average pool table installation. Of course, every single pool table is unique and will have its own unique set up requirements that we can advise you on when you book the installation with us.
