The Unicorn Darts Smartboard is the new and revolutionary way to play darts. Darts as a game has become hugely popular over recent years, with fanatical support at competitions, and more and more players taking up the game at home.
We’ve taken the game of darts to the next level with the innovative ScoreBuddy app, enabling you to play a whole host of fun games with your friends - you don’t have to be a pro player, or a whizz at maths to have fun. With the Unicorn Smartboard along with the ScoreBuddy app, you will be able to play a range of amazing games with all the scoring automatically calculated for you.
The Dartboard
The Unicorn Smartboard system uses the very latest dartboard technology to automatically detect where darts have landed and instantly displays the results on your mobile or tablet device via Bluetooth. This registers the score, how you compare to the other players and what you need to score next. No mains connection is required as the Unicorn Smartboard uses 3x AAA batteries, meaning the board is fully portable and can be placed anywhere.
The basic game rules are available on the ScoreBuddy app. The app's graphics show who is throwing, who’s up next, what the current scores are and what players should aim for with each throw. Players can also choose between 7 great games on the app to play with friends and family, as well as choosing to play against the ScoreBuddy Robot to brush up on your skills in a game of your choosing.

The board detects spikes in electromagnetism to determine where and when darts have landed in it. Any steel tip darts can be used but they need to be magnetised for detection. To do this, the tips of the darts are inserted into a small hole on the front of the board that contains a magnet. Each dart takes around 3 seconds to magnetise. Darts will need to be magnetised periodically to ensure scoring.
ScoreBuddy App
The ScoreBuddy App automatic calculates scores as soon as the darts hit the board via Bluetooth connection. Up to 12 players for doubles or 6 players for singles can be added via the app. Simply choose between 8 exciting games and begin a great game of darts.

Fixed Height & Throwing Distance:
The bullseye of your Unicorn Smartboard should hang 5' 8" (1.73m) from the floor, and 7' 9 1/4" (2.37m) from where you throw.
