The Ile de France is an English pool table using 2” red and yellow balls as standard, with a one piece or three piece slate bed, available in 7.2ft, 8ft and 8.5ft sizes.
The Ile de France is a part of the Tradition Range from Billards Montfort, and is manufactured in either solid beech or solid oak. Its modern yet refined style will fit in perfectly with many types of décor.
The Ile de France has a metal frame construction, with solid wood legs, frame and cushion rails. The slate bolts onto the main support frame, and the top frame and cushions bolts directly down onto the slate. This provides an incredibly solid, secure and stable playing surface, which will reward you with incredibly accurate and responsive playing characteristics. This is both an awesome pool table, and a wonderfully stylish choice as a dining table, should you wish to make dual use of it with the optional dining top.
The 7ft version of the table uses a single piece slate, whilst the 8ft table uses a sectional 3 piece slate. It is fitted with high grade tournament quality Simonis cloth as standard.
There is a huge choice of table finishes available, enabling you to get just the look you are seeking. The Ile de France is available in a number of wood finishes and high gloss or matt paint finishes.

The cabinet is only 13cm high, allowing a clearance of 67cm from the floor to the underside of the table. This gives you plenty of room to sit and dine at the table, without your legs being tight up against the underside of the cabinet.

Billards Montfort Beech Finishes Sample Card
Billards Montfort Oak Finishes Sample Card
You have a range of different finishes available. Your choice of finish will determine whether your table is constructed from either solid beech wood or solid oak wood. Any finish with "C" in its colour code will be built from oak. Any finish with "H" in its colour code will be built from beech.
Please note
- exact matches for colour finishes cannot always be achieved and guaranteed. Wood is a natural product. Each tree is different to its neighbour. It has a structure and a colour of its own. Differences in colour and grain may occur, which certifies the authenticity of the solid wood. The manufacturer will use the same wood stain for each table made, but because each tree is different there may be variances in colour finish achieved.
- Certain finishes are only available for certain models of pool table. Please refer to the drop-down menus to see your list of available options for this table.
Ball Return:
Choose from either:
- Drop Pockets - the Lewis is supplied with American style drop-pockets as standard, where the balls sit in the pockets once potted.
- Ball Return - alternatively the Lewis is available with a retractable ball return system. Balls are collected underneath the body of the table for easy retrieval, yet the tray remains unobtrusive and doesn't detract from the overall look of the table. When not in play the ball tray clips up underneath the table and is completely hidden away. You would never know it is a pool table when the dining tops are in place. Please note that if you choose to have Carom pockets you will not need a ball return, as the balls never enter the pockets in Carom!

Strachan 6811 Cloth (Green)
A truly durable cloth, 6811 cloth is premium grade, fast, match quality pool cloth. 6811 cloth offers good control and response, and is treated with SpillGuard to protect against stains and spills.
Strachan cloth has been made in the West of England since 1890. Strachan English pool cloth is regarded around the world as the leading brand in its market, as its superior nap provides players with unrivalled ball control, speed and positional accuracy.
Strachan 6811 cloth is recommended for use on English Pool tables, usually either 6ft or 7ft in size. It has a nap which is directional and should be fitted so it runs down the table from the baulk area towards the black spot. This cloth is slower than American Pool style napless cloth, such as the Elite Pro.
- Smart Cloth - for English Pool:
We are able to fit your table with a choice of Premium cloth colours. If you need a certain colour to suit your decor or want your new table to stand out from the crowd you can select this as an upgrade. The cloths are of the highest quality, and are manufactured by Hainsworth. The type of cloth we recommend for English pool is Smart cloth. This is a performance cloth that delivers big on value and longevity with a fantastic napped surface.

The type of cloth we recommend for American Pool is Elite Pro cloth. This is a performance cloth that delivers big on value and longevity whilst offering excellent speed and ball response. Some players choose this type of cloth for English Pool, if they want a faster game.

Pearl Sights
For dedicated pool players, adding inlaid pearl sights to your pool table's top rail can aid in the accuracy of your shots. You can choose from one of three options:
- Pearlescent Sights
- Black Sights
- Metal Sights
Add these if you wish using the drop-down menus on the right-hand side.
Dining Table Top
You can choose to add a dining table top to your table to allow you to transform your pool table into a beautiful dining table in minutes. This top sits on your pool table's top rail and is cushioned to protect the table's top frame from scratching or marking.
Choose from:
- Standard Tops In Your Chosen Finish. Available In Either 2 or 3 Sections.
- Tops With Clear Glass Panels In Your Chosen Finish. Made In 2 Sections.
- Tops With Frosted Glass Panels In Your Choice of Finish. Made In 2 Sections
Be sure to select tops suitable for the size of your table using the "Dining Tops" drop-down on the right of this page, and to choose what finish you would like from the "Dining Top Finish" drop-down menu. Optional Benches
If you are planning to use your table for both dining and pool you may find the additional option of benches appealing. These are made to match the finish of your table and simply slide underneath the table when not in use. The advantage of using these is that you don't need to find somewhere else to store these benches when playing pool (unlike chairs, which would need to be stored elsewhere).
These benches have a number of options, including storage for your accessories and cushioned upholstery in a wide range of coloured leather. You can customise your benches to your liking with the product option dropdowns.
You can buy these singularly or in a pair. The price shown is when bought at the same time as the pool table and shipped simultaneously. If you decide to order these after your table has been delivered then the cost will regrettably be considerably more.

Dining Top Storage
If you opt to get dining tops, a storage solution for these is a recommended investment to ensure your tops are kept safe when not in use. There are three options for dining top storage.
Under-Table Storage - Under-Table Storage builds a solution right into your table, using a cushioned rack that folds out of the way when not in use. (Note: This option is only possible on tables with drop pockets. This option cannot be applied if you have opted for an internal ball return)
Orio Table Top Storage - Dining top storage on wheels for ease of storage and moving your dining tops where you need without a fuss. Supplied in a finish matching your pool table and dining tops.
Lugano Table Top Storage - Stationary dining top storage that's minimalist in design and can hold up to three dining top sections safely.
Cue Racks
There are several options for cue racks that can be bought with your table, including two designs of wall-mounted racks and three designs of floor-standing racks. All racks are supplied to match your table's chosen finish in either solid beech or solid oak. Select your cue rack using the drop-down options on the right.
Wall Mounted Racks
- Standard Cue Rack - The Standard Cue Rack is a simple, minimalistic two-piece cue rack that affixes to the wall and can hold up to six of your cues.
- Luxe Cue Rack - The Luxe Cue Rack implements other useful aspects into its design, incorporating a scoreboard and four rails for storing your pool balls when not in use.
Floor-Standing Cue Racks
- Sparte Cue Rack - The Sparte Cue Rack is a modern design that allows you to proudly display your cues in your pool table space. This rack can hold up to four cues.
- Saria Cue Rack - The Saria Cue Rack is capable of holding eight cues in a circle, whilst retaining stability with its weighted octagon base.
- Capri Cue Rack - With its elegant design, the Capri Cue Rack looks great against a wall and can store up to eight cues safely.
Billards Montfort Triangles
Complete the set up with one of Billards Montfort's custom made pool triangles, made and finished to match your chosen table finish.
Rio Triangle
The timeless classic. This solid wood triangle is finished with the classic G. Montfort signature and will be provided in your table's chosen finish in either solid beech or solid oak wood.
Anafi Triangle
With its tapered edges and smoothly finished surfaces, the Anafi pool triangle is a perfect, more contemporary looking triangle to have completing the look of your table. Made from solid wood and finished to match your table.
Billards Montfort Scoreboard
You can add a score counter for keeping track of match progress, matched to the finish of your table. Please use the drop-down menus at the top right of the screen to add a score counter if you wish.

We hold many pool tables in stock. If this is the case for your choice of model, we will be able to deliver within 7 to 14 days depending upon location and customer availability.
If the table needs to be made to order it will take approximately 6 to 10 weeks to be made. Once completed, our delivery team will contact you to arrange a delivery date.

Delivery and installation are free to most locations within mainland UK.

The table will be professionally handled by one of our fully insured specialist two man delivery teams. It will be placed in a ground floor room of your choice, and all packaging removed.
Our team will professionally level the table and show you how to do so yourself, as this is something you will need to do throughout the life of your pool table. They have years of experience, and will be able to answer any questions about the care and use of your table to ensure you get the very best from your new purchase. You will be left with a perfectly installed table, ready to play the first frame of many.
Upstairs, downstairs and other hard to reach locations:
It is possible to deliver and install the table to a location with difficult access - loft conversions, basements, upstairs, downstairs, up and down steep slopes etc - but this will be at an extra cost.
