Let’s take a look at Game of Thrones LE. The special limited edition version of Stern Pinball’s hotly anticipated 2015 pinball machine: Game of Thrones.
Based on the incredible and critically acclaimed fantasy television series, Game of Thrones LE is the definitive Game of Thrones pinball experience, allowing the player to defeat the noble houses of Westeros, and claim the Iron Throne for themselves.
Limited to only 700 machines worldwide, Game of Thrones LE includes all the features and modes of the PRO version, but manages to pack even more features and modes into this already very complete game. We’ll be mainly focussing on the LE exclusive features here, so check out our video of the PRO version to see the basics of what the game comes with.
The most obvious difference over the PRO is the enormous ‘Castle Black’ mini playfield in the top left of the machine. Accessed via the right ramp, this mini playfield is watched over by an animated model of Drogon: The dragon companion of Daenerys Targaryen who flaps his wings, gracefully throughout the game.
Lit with dramatic RGB lighting, this mini playfield allows players to access ‘Castle Multiball’, a multiball mode exclusive to this machine.
The Another major additional feature on the LE is the iron throne itself. Whilst the pro version of the game has a static iron throne model, the LE upgrades this by integrating the throne into the gameplay itself. At points throughout the game, your ball will actually be delivered to the throne via a special ramp, where it will then be ejected out afterwards.
In addition, every single lamp on the game utilises RGB LED lighting. This allows every single insert on the playfield to display virtually any colour imaginable, making the already spectacular light shows even more dazzling and impressive.
Other LE exclusive features include a stunning new cabinet design with laser cut side armour, a numbered plaque bearing the machine’s unique number and a signed certificate of authenticity. Even the leg bolts on the game have been finished in a golden tint to ensure the whole theme remains consistent.
